(South American Oddity: 1972 Renailt Torino Coupe BaT – The best vintage cars for sale online)
This Torino sold for $6500 (que serian mas o menos 25.000 pesos argentinos)
We bet you’ve never seen one of these before. This ‘72 Renault Torino was built in Cordoba, Argentina as a joint venture with Industrias Kaiser Argentina (IKA). It was supposedly built to compete with the Ford Falcons and Chevy Novas of the day. Find it here on eBay out of Torrance, California. Special thanks to BaT reader Myron V. for this find!

We do see a little bit of Renault in the headlight design, but other than that it looks like some sort of British Ford or Opel design. We like the rarity and think it might be the only one of these cars in the USA

We like the six round rear lamps and the period copper color. The car shows some wear but is definitely driveable as-is. The interior is in very good condition and features bucket seats and a floor-shifted manual transmission

The engine is an Argentinean 3.8L straight-6 that looks robust. The strut tower brace is an odd feature, and it is hard to say whether it is factory or aftermarket.

We like the rarity of this car, but have no idea how you would ever find parts for it. It is in very good condition for its age and its long trip Northward. This car will be one of those inexpensive one-offs that is worth picking up if you like the style and are a sucker for unusual models
