I have owned this bike since 1999. One year ago I fitted the fairings and wheels, and this winter I built the new turbo engine. I got it running and working properly about 3 weeks ago! So this will be the first summer with turbo!
It develops 266 hp at the rear wheel at 1,1 bar (16 psi) but I think I will increase the boost to about 1,3 bar (19 psi). That will give about 290 hp at the wheel. Even more fun! But I don't know if I need it.. it wheelies in 5:th gear from 230 km/h (140 mph)...
Yes, it's carbed. I use Mikuni cv34 carbs modified for turbo use. I use a Wahlbro fuelpump and a Malpassi fuel pressure regulator. Fuelpressure about 0,15 bar (2,2 psi) above boost pressure. That's all parts needed for fuel supply!
