
These pictures are of Gas Ronda's 1963-1/2
Galaxie 500 Sports roof factory drag car, R-code 427-8V 425 hp engine with a
Top loader 4-speed manual transmission. This car had fiberglass doors, hood
and deck lid, aluminum bumpers front and rear, shell-type racing buckets, no
armrests and no seam sealer.

I took these pictures in September of 1995 in
Connecticut, where the car had recently been brought from California by Jim
Barillaro (owner of the 427 SOHC-powered "Chrisman's Comet" funny car). He
reportedly sold the car shortly after I saw it for $30,000 to a group of
people who were going to restore it to its former glory.
